What is Drop In Support?

A welcoming space at the heart of TASFund

Drop In is our longest-running service and sits at the heart of what we do at The Anthony Seddon Fund.

It provides a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space where people can connect with others, talk about how they are feeling, and access support from people with lived experience of mental health difficulties.

Whether you are having a difficult day, feeling isolated, looking for connection, or simply need somewhere supportive to spend time, our Drop In is here for you.

There is no formal agenda, no expectation to share, and no pressure to take part in conversations if you do not want to. Some people come to talk, some come for a brew and a chat, and others simply appreciate being around people who understand.

Our team and volunteers are available to listen, offer support and help you explore other services or opportunities that may be helpful.

You can join in as much or as little as feels right for you.

How Does Drop In Work?

Simple, welcoming and at your own pace

We aim to make accessing support as simple and welcoming as possible.

1

Come Along

There is no need for a referral or appointment. Simply visit during our Drop In opening times and head to reception when you arrive.

2

Meet the Team

Our receptionist will greet you and sign you in to the centre. A member of the team will then come and meet you, explain what we do and answer any questions.

3

Settle In

A member of the team will take you through to the Drop In session, make you a brew and help you get settled. You can join in as much or as little as feels right.

4

Access Further Support

If you would benefit from additional support, we can help you explore groups, activities and services available through TASFund or elsewhere in the community.

There is no right or wrong way to attend Drop In. Many people simply start by coming in for a brew and a chat.
