About Us

Our Impact

Every visit, conversation, group and activity represents someone taking a step towards connection, support and hope. Our impact is measured not only in numbers, but in the people who feel less alone because TASFund is here.

Community Impact

More Than a Service, a Place to Belong

TASFund has become a trusted part of the local community; a place where people can come as they are, find a warm welcome and connect with others who understand. For many people, the Centre is not just somewhere to access support, but somewhere they feel known, accepted and valued.

Our impact is built through everyday moments: a brew and a chat, a group activity, a listening ear during a difficult day, or the confidence to take part in something new. These moments help reduce isolation, strengthen wellbeing and create hope.

By combining peer support, lived experience, volunteering and partnership working, we help create a community where people do not have to face mental health challenges alone.

Our impact is not only measured in numbers; it is seen in people feeling safer, stronger, more connected and less alone.

Real Stories, Real People

The Human Impact Behind the Numbers

Every person’s journey is different. These reflections show how connection, peer support and a safe place to be can make a lasting difference.

Finding Light in the Darkness

“Without the help I received from you guys, there’s no way I’d have been here today.”

A young person described TASFund as a refuge during one of the darkest chapters of their life; somewhere they could feel safe, have a coffee, talk to understanding people and begin to move forward.

Shelle’s Journey

“The Anthony Seddon Fund became the light I had been looking for.”

Through volunteering, friendship and being accepted as herself, Shelle found confidence, purpose and a safe place where she could support others as well as receive support herself.

A Lifeline in Despair

“I personally would be lost without The Anthony Seddon Fund.”

For someone living with bipolar disorder and suicide bereavement, TASFund became a lifeline; offering peer support, shared understanding and a community that helped maintain stability.

These stories remind us that small moments of kindness, connection and understanding can change the direction of someone’s life.

Powered By Volunteers

The People Who Make TASFund Possible

Volunteers are at the heart of The Anthony Seddon Fund. Their time, commitment, lived experience and compassion help create the welcoming environment that so many people rely upon every week. From supporting Drop In sessions to facilitating activities, maintaining the building and helping at events, volunteers make an extraordinary contribution to our charity.

Experience, Commitment and Compassion

More than half of our volunteers support our core Drop In service, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for people accessing support. Others contribute through peer support groups, activity sessions, fundraising, community events, reception duties and practical maintenance around the Centre.

Many of our volunteers bring lived experience of mental health challenges, allowing them to connect with others through empathy, understanding and shared experience. This lived experience is one of TASFund’s greatest strengths.

With an average length of service of over five years, our volunteers demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to supporting their community and helping others find hope, connection and belonging.

Every conversation, every activity and every warm welcome is made possible by people who choose to give their time to support others.

Looking Forward

Building On Our Impact

While we are proud of the impact we have made over the past decade, we know the need for accessible mental health support continues to grow. Every year, more people turn to TASFund looking for connection, understanding and practical support to help them navigate life’s challenges.

Our focus is on building sustainable services, strengthening community voice and ensuring that people with lived experience continue to shape the future of our organisation. We want to create even more opportunities for people to connect, recover and thrive within their communities.

By working alongside volunteers, partners, funders and the people who access our services, we will continue developing support that is welcoming, inclusive and responsive to the needs of our community.
