Volunteer with Us

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at The Anthony Seddon Fund. From peer support and wellbeing activities to fundraising and welcoming people into the centre, our volunteers help create the safe, supportive, and welcoming community TASFund is known for.

Many of our volunteers bring lived experience of mental health challenges, using their experiences, compassion, and understanding to support others within the community. Whether you want to give something back, meet new people, build confidence, or gain experience, there are lots of ways to get involved.

You do not need previous volunteering or mental health experience for most roles; just a willingness to support others and be part of a positive and inclusive environment.

Volunteer Stories

Many of our volunteers first came to TASFund looking for support themselves before later deciding to give something back to the community. Volunteering can help people build confidence, reduce isolation, develop skills, and feel part of something positive and supportive.

“I started coming to The Anthony Seddon Centre about two years ago for the Living Life to the Full course and it has completely changed my life… I became a volunteer roughly about six months ago and it was the best decision I have ever made.”

Many volunteers describe TASFund as a place where they feel accepted, supported, and able to grow in confidence at their own pace.

“The Anthony Seddon Fund became the light I had been looking for for a very long time.”

Others have gone on to support people experiencing similar challenges, helping create the welcoming and peer-led environment that makes TASFund so important within the local community.

“I see people at their lowest times of their lives. I sit with them and let them know they’re not on their own, that there is a light in their darkest moments.”
